COME JOIN US for the first PAC meeting of the 2017/2018 school year

Thursday, September 14th at 7:00pm in the Library

A special welcome to the new students, parents and staff of Lord Tweedsmuir.

LTSS is an exciting school to be a part of.  One way to become involved is by attending the PAC meetings.  The PAC meetings are held once a month (except December, March and June) and are usually on the second Thursday of each month.  They begin at 7:00pm with coffee and goodies in the school library and most meetings feature a special speaker/presentation.  We are looking forward to having any new and returning parents join us for very informative sessions.

The first PAC meeting of the year will be on Thursday, September 14th at 7:00pm when the Principal and Vice Principal(s) will give a presentation.

This is an excellent opportunity to become involved, meet the administrators, other parents and find out what is happening at your school.

LTSS PAC AGM on Thursday May 11

LTSS PAC will be holding our annual AGM on Thursday, May 11 at 7:00pm in the Library.
Please come out and join us for the last PAC meeting of the year. This is where elections are held for the 2017/2018 school year and we are in need of volunteers to help keep our PAC strong. It's a great opportunity to know what is happening at our school and to be involved in decisions that may impact your children's school year.
You don't have to have previously attended any meetings to put your name forward for a position for next year. Most positions require little amounts of time however they are vital to ensure our PAC continues to function properly.
We'd love to see you there! Come on out and hear Mrs. Sarmento's final principal's message of her first year at LTSS as well as a presentation by Ms. Liz Wood from the LST department on Individual Education Plans.

Special parent screening of "SCREENAGERS" on Jan 26

We are thrilled to present SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age, a documentary about the biggest parenting issue of our time.

Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that happening with her own kids and began a quest to uncover how it might impact their development. As with her other two award-winning documentaries on mental health, Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.

As seen on Good Morning America
